WIP Wednesdays......

Happy Wednesday all,
I thought I would take part in this week's Work in Progress Wednesday, I haven't had the chance to knit much in the last 2/3 weeks but I have done some of my bag so I thought I would share that and a few other pics.

This is my needle box, it belonged to my mum, I remember her knitting tons when we were little but she has issues with her hands now so I inherited her needles (and love for knitting); some of the needles were my gran's too:
This is the drawer I keep my knitting stuff in, I have tons of wool (well probably not tons really), my needles and some other bits and pieces:
Part 2 of my bag is going well, I have about an inch or so (6 rows or thereabout) to go before I start on the straps. Then I can make the inside bit and put the whole thing together - so exciting!!! Maybe I can play along with finished object friday before too long:
That's me for today, I have a couple of scheduled posts later in the week; and maybe a few actual live ones!!! Hope you are all having a good week.
love, V xxx

I have some of my mother's and grandmother's needles. It's so nice to have shared the same crafting tradition.

That needle box is so cute. I have a pair of wooden needles that belonged to my Mum and possibly her Mum too and they are very treasured.

The needle box is really cute. And that is so cool that you inherited your mom's and grandma's knitting needles.

I have never seen a needle box like that before -- definitely a treasure for you to have. I have some of my great-grandmother's crochet hooks as well as her doilies, and I love that feeling of connection to the previous generations.

I think I might be in love with your little needle box. SO cute. I inherited a bunch of needles from my mom, too. The straights are fine, but the circulars don't age so well...
