The End//Honest To Blog

I thought long and hard about the direction of this blog; I haven't posted regularly in months and I really had no focus for it. Sadly I have made the decision that this will be my last post here, it's been a good innings - I've enjoyed this blog and I've sometimes hated it. My posts have been loved and hated, my life has been judged but it's all been worth it - I had a blast, I got nearly 200 followers and over 50,000 pageviews and I made new friends.

I did interviews, tried out blog sponsors, did lots of baking features and tried out many more things - I experimented with this blog and I spent lots of time with it. But it's time to move on, and time for a new direction. You can now find me over on it's a good place to knit; which is a knitting focused blog with just a little bit of life thrown in there. If you enjoy knitting or you just want to see what I'm doing, come find me.

Thank you for the years, for the memories and most of all thank you to the haters - you made all of this worth it!!!

Spaces and Places//Pinterest Sunday

It has been way too long since I had a pinterest sunday, way too long. One of my boards I haven't shared yet is spaces and places - a board for cute houses, lovely ideas and beautiful places.

These steps are made from repurposed crates, i love them:

This is a beautiful building in Barcelona, Spain:

Cute little outdoor guest room idea:

This is a lovely repurposed barn, it's so beautiful:

Go by and check out my other boards on Pinterest, and let me know what you would like to see on a Sunday!!!!

This Week//Daily

This week I have been knitting, studying, playing with my gorgeous boys, throwing around pieces of yarn for the cats to play with and just feeling a little cheerier - you might say it's the weather BUT it's not - it's rained here for the past week..... no I'm just feeling happy. Anyway I thought I might stop by and share a few photos from my week.

Rusty playing with some yarn:
Toto looking a little annoyed, he doesn't like having his photo taken:
Kristofer and his Nanna Anja playing draughts; these moments are very precious:
I really need to get my camera out more, I am starting a photography OU course in October and I've become a little lazy with my camera - so my resolution? Use my camera more - my actual camera NOT just my Ipod (sometimes instagram is a little easy).........

Design//Daily

Last year I designed some t-shirts for my very first OU course; which I enjoyed very much. The graphics were fun to design, and then playing around with them on t-shirts was brilliant.
I'm now on my 2nd design course, it's only a short one but it's so much fun - I'm doing web design. It's a little different from t-shirt design and my 1st course - and in actual fact it feels like a whole world away.
I'm excited to see where web design goes, what I learn and how I apply it to my own life. My next course is digital photography; so I can learn a little more about photographing my designs and making them look as good as they possibly can. I'm enjoying this journey - it's fun and it's hardwork but more than that it makes me feel good about myself, it makes me feel strong.

At Last//Weekly Creative

I actually have some layouts to share today!!! Shocking huh? I've been scrapping but not very often - usually just at our crop which is just once a month, I need to get back to it. Anyway here you go:

He ain't heavy, he's my brother - I used some prima printed cardboard for the background of this, as well as some flowers and prima enamel pieces. I had a really good time making this - I even used texture paste for the first time. The photo is Robbie helping Kristofer on his rollerskates:
Old man of Hoy - this layout uses Glitz Designs papers and elements, and a few random bits from my embellishment box. The old man of Hoy is one of the country's tallest single standing rocks, it's up in Orkney:
1, 2, 3, Blow - This is my favourite of the 3, the photos were taken last year and are of Robbie blowing dandelion clocks. He had a great time doing this, and I loved making the resulting layout using prima printery:
Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back later in the week.
