December 1st//December Daily

Wow, last month just went way to quickly - I can hardly believe it's December already. But of course December has brought with it December Daily (which is run by Ali Edwards). This is my 2nd year of playing along, last year I didn't complete right up to Day 25 BUT I did finish off the book because I couldn't just leave it half done. This year I am aiming to complete it right up to day 31 AND finish off the book with some sort of binding!!!! To help me I've decided to do a book in a sort of art journal form, so it's not strictly "scrapping" style; it's a freer sense of journalling. Anyhoo enough of my wiffling, here is the front cover:
I'm really pleased with how it came out, I've been working on it since the beginning of November, as I wanted to be sure I was doing something I love, and would continue to enjoy throughout December. I also decided to go with a tab-top book, just for something a little different!!! Here is my introduction page:
I used an echo park journalling spot, alongside a rusty pickle rub-on and a few other random bits. I also used alot of mist on this page, I love mist and you will definitely see it again in my book.... actually on my next page:
I decided to talk about advent for my 1st December page, advent is always a huge thing in our home; the kids are so excited about their chocolate advent but even more so about the playmobil ones!!! Robbie chose a post office and Kris chose a police set - they are very cute. For the page, again I chose some random pieces and used 3 of the doors from today. Incase you're wondering - I had a christmas pudding (a thorntons one hehe).
Right that's me for today, I have lots planned for this month - I will be blogging most days; and pretty much all christmassy, festive posts. I also have some feature artist posts lined up for the month and December's Pinterest Sunday's will all have a festive theme. I love christmas, so my blog will be bringing all of that love to you.
V xx
PS - a tiny festive share, on Monday (28th November) we went to see the coca-cola truck:
And YES it was definitely as awesome as it looks - we had so much fun and even had our photo taken beside it; yup we are THAT kind of geek!! I'll share the portait with the cola trucks some other time but I really wanted to share these 2.... I can't help myself. x

I am doing an art journal this year also. Your cover and first page are so awesome and fun. I love all the goodies on it and misting is always the best.

So jealous of the Coke-Cola truck, that would be sweet!!

Looking forward to seeing more of your journal.
