WIP Wednesday........ THAT bag!!!

Happy Wednesday all,
I'm sorry I missed last week's Work In Progress; it was so totally hectic here last week with getting home from London and trying to get caught up on sleep and with the kids etc. Anyway I did make good progress on my bag on the way to London (none on the way home) so I thought I'd share some pics with you, first tho is this:

This is my Carpet Bags of America bag for my knitting - it's got my works in progress; a book and my needles in it (and there is still loads of space); I picked it up in a charity shop in London - when I saw it I just fell in LOVE!!!! It's totally gorgeous, very sturdy and the perfect fit.

Ok so knitting pics, I finished the first half of my bag - I knit pretty much all the way down to London; did all the casting off and I was just so excited - I'm really happy with how it looks, I think my tension is right all the way through:

I haven't done much more since then, but I have cast on the next half and knitted a couple more rows:
I plan on getting lots more done this week; and I've bought the fabric for the lining - so I'm super excited to get that sewed up too. I plan on altering the pattern very slightly and adding on some buttons...... but I'll have to wait and see if it works ok or not. I'm still knitting on the bamboo needles (i love them) and I bought some nice beech wood ones from THIS shop last week - they are beautiful!!!! I also bought some wool for a project, a yarn holder and a tape measure - just topping up on some bits really.

That's me for today, if you're new to my blog - take a little look around and stay awhile..... I will have a FAQ (frequently asked questions) section going up in the next few weeks so look out for that and if you have a question you want featured feel free to ask!!

loves, V xxx

Looks like your knitted purse is coming along! It looks great so far.

The butterfly bag was definitely a lucky find! I would love to have one like that. Your knitted bag is coming along well, the texture of the yarn gets to shine in garter stitch

I'm also a sucker for interesting bags that I find in out-of-the-way places. The one you found is a keeper.
