Creativity Boot Camp - Day 4: Heavy Metal

~Happy Wednesday all,
~How is everyone today??? I'm doing good - if you're here for WOYWW, please scroll down to the next post!!!!

~So today at Creativity Boot Camp, we were challenged to go out and take some random photos, just things that speak to you on some level. Then the journalling challenge was:

Now I’d like you to look at your photos. There’s no need to print them…looking at them on the computer will work fine. Think about what specifically motivated you to take certain pictures. Was it something small and unique about your subject? Was it the color? Was it how certain elements came together and played off of one another? Get detailed. Think about it a lot…as if you were trying to tell a child what made that beautiful. If you were to go back and attempt to re-take the pictures, capturing only the elements that you were drawn to, how would you frame the shot?

~So here are my photos and answers:
~This first photo is the net over our fish pond (there are heron that try to steal the fish otherwise!!), I've always wanted to capture the rain on this net so I thought now was the perfect time. I think the water and the net are complete opposites - net is a trap, where are water is always free, running or falling!!! If I were to retake the photo, I think I would try other angles, and getting right down to the ground to capture this.
~This next photo is a leaf in our bird bath, I just liked the colours and the quirky look of this. I like the orange of the leaf against the grey of the bird bath. I probably wouldn't choose to take a photo like this normally but if I was going to retake it I'm not sure how much I would change!!!
~We have these flower windmills in our garden, and I think they are very pretty. My nephews love them, and so do I!!!! The colours look good in this photo but I do see the blur - it's quite windy outside so I think if I was going to retake it I'd make sure it was still out.
~This photo is our recycling buckets in the garage, I like the angles of this photo. And the colours really work well. Again I wouldn't choose to necessarily retake this photo, but if I was going to I'd probably go slightly lower down and take the shot from different angles.

~Ok onto the random word prompt, which today was Heavy Metal. I did this ATC:
~I looked up on Wikipedia about heavy metal rock bands, and one of them was QUEEN, who do the most amazing music so I thought I'd go with metallic crowns and a musical note. The paper I've used was music paper. I had lots of fun with this but I'm a little bit covered in metallic stuff now!!!!

~Again I am so excited for tomorrow, thank you so much to the lovely Meagan for starting this up...

Love your ATC, haven't got 'a net' on my pond (she refused to lie down over it!) but do have a rake coz the fish keep trying to get into the next bit where there's a well and stuff (old dust bin really) and they could get stuck!
