WOYWW......Teddy???

~Happy Wednesday all,
~I can't believe it's time for WOYWW already, where do the weeks go? Apologies for last week - I did post but I didn't get around to posting on all the blogs, it's been a hectic week. The boys will be staying with us for some more time - how long, who knows just now?? But we're enjoying having them and they have gone away for a few days to spend some time with their mum, she is starting to improve, but these things are long!!! The boys are doing well, but Kristofer had tonsilitis which he has passed to me so I'm off to the doctors tomorrow to get antibiotics - my 3rd set this year!!!!!

~Ok..... so this is my workdesk this week:
~Ok so I know it isn't crafting as such but this week I've been fixing Robbie's teddy this week, putting some patches on the wee holes!!!! You may also see an Amazon package - I got a copy of the Wreck this Journal book - I'm so excited to get started on it - also a wee bit nervous. I am fairly free with my scrapping but not so much in my art journalling so I hope this helps!!!!!
~Here is a wee pic so you can see how teddy looks now*:
*ok teddy is actually a dog, but Rob calls him teddy so that is his name!!!!
~And here is Robbie cuddling teddy:
~Too cute huh???? He drags teddy everywhere with him, and last week he got lost at their dad's so we had to tell Rob he was on holiday, so he borrowed monkey instead!!!! He's had Teddy for the last 2 years, because the former teddy passed on....... this one is a similar material tho. Robbie had trouble dealing with teddy's new patches but he's gotten used to it now, and since these photos were taken he's had another patch added on Robbie's demand (to cover another wee hole).

~I actually have some layouts to share this week!!! OMG huh??? I've recently fallen in LOVE with Graphic 45 because I got to work with some doing the Ingredients Challenge for A Trip Down Memory Lane this month - go check out what we did and vote for your favourite!!!!

~Here is another layout I did using G45, I had so much fun doing this:
~I used A Proper Gentleman papers for this, and actually not alot else, the papers have nice cutout bits so it's lovely to use some of that for embellishments!! I used string to resemble the rope that Kristofer is pulling in the photo. I've never used the technique of lacing up the 2 sides of your layout before - I WILL be using it again - it's very fun and you can use anything to lace it up!!!!!!
~The other layout I did over the weekend was for Scrap Tiffany, we had to scraplift a technique and give credit. So I used THIS technique by Iris Babao Uy. I glimmer misted the bottom flower and used embossing powder on the top flowers:
~I used mostly Basic Grey Origins for this, with a little lace and some felt fusions. I also embossed the title on some naked chipboard. I really had fun with this layout - I love the colours of the Origins papers, they are yummy!!!!! The photo was taken in Aberdour last year, and I have wanted to scrap it for months, I was just waiting for the right papers....... and these were perfect.

~As I type I'm listening to the official UK top 20 on the TV, and it occured to me that 4 weeks with 2 under 5's has got me knowing more about Fireman Sam and Mr Tumble than the current charts!!! I never thought that would happen to me - I'm in shock a little!!!!! I mean who the HECK are plan b????

~Right I'm going, I will be back tomorrow with 30 Days, Day 15!!!! I'll also be doing something creative tomorrow so I'll try to share sneaks. I'm excited to have a few scrappy days, then on Saturday I'm going wedding dress shopping!!!!

~love, Vicki xxx

I think that you are doing an amazing thing by keeping the boys. Having kids for a long time is hard work and tiring however you have never complained once about it. I'm sure that they will always remember the time spent with Aunty Vicki and Aunty Jay.

Hehehe, I'm past the Mr Tumble stage now that my grandkids are a bit older; well perhaps not as DD is a childminder :-/ I love both layouts and love the lacing on the 1st one. Job well done on teddy :)

Vicki you are an absolute star, the boys must be very tiring.

The bear made me think about my daughter she's had a bear since she was 6 months old (nearly 16 now), its on its third body I kept the orginal as a template and every time she wore it out I cut out another body and sewed the head, hands and feet on, she still takes it to be now and sleeps with the ribbon wrappered round her thumb which she still sucks!
