Scrap Tiffany, Teaching. College.

~Happy Monday everyone,
~How was your weekend? Mine was good, infact the last few weeks have been pretty great. My college course has come to an end and we have our final presentation tomorrow. We have booked the registry office, a hall for the reception, a DJ and got our cake sorted for the wedding - so everything is coming on well for that. I am going to some bridal shops on Thursday to get a feel of what I'm going to be looking for in the summer. And I taught my first crop class on Saturday, I think it went well and my class all did brilliantly - I loved looking at the different ways everyone done the class, I shall definitely be teaching again - but not till July, as I start my new college course on February 1st and I have to be in college on a Saturday. So yes, everything is going well just now except I keep getting this stupid cold, and right now my sinuses are so painful - but I'm bearing up through it and enjoying all the good things.

~As I said, on Saturday I went to the crop and did my layout for Week 4 over at Scrap Tiffany, this week the challenge was GRIEF, so I did this layout:

~You might remember in November, I posted about the sad death of my childhood pet, Tom!!! He was 15 years old and had a good life, but it was hard - we'd had him since he was 6 months old. When he died my mum and I said he'd gone to play with the butterflies with our other cat who died 2 years earlier - hence the title of my layout. It wasn't an easy layout to do but I actually really enjoyed doing it and I felt that it helped. Anyway pop over to Scrap Tiffany and check out what the rest of the team done.

~It took me a long time to prepare my class for Saturday, but I decided to go with a pizza box class!!!! I had everyone strip back a pizza box lid, flick paint on, tear holes and add some embellishments - I used Basic Grey Urban Prairie for my example:
~Tomorrow I have my presentation for college, and say goodbye to my class. We did some fun stuff on the course, including art. I made these 2 pieces, both of which will be on display at the presentation:
~For this one we used paintshop to change photos of ourselves, then scanned the photos onto canvases. Some people used colour on their's, I just used black, white and grey and I am so pleased with the results.
~For this we used calligraphy ink and water, you just play about spraying water and ink on paper, then use a plastic knife and spread all the ink around. I then used glass painting pens to draw patterns over the top.
~That's all from me for now, I'm working on another layout just now so I might be back later in the week with that.
~Thanks for stopping by and continuing to leave comments - I do really appreciate them and I enjoy reading them too.
~Love, Vicki xxx
