Scrap Tiffany Blog Hop

~Happy Saturday all,

~Welcome to the Scrap Tiffany Blog Hop, if you're just jumping in now, be sure to go back to Sheri's blog and start from the beginning.

~If this is your first time at my blog, I'm Vicki and I'm from Scotland. I've been crafting for about 5 years now and my latest passion is doing altered work. I'm a scrapbooker at heart, but it's nice to change things up a little and get MESSY.

~So the fantastic theme that Miss Tiffany gave us for this blog hop, was recycling!!! So I decided to make some brooches in rainbow colour, made from CD's:
~I have to admit that breaking CD's was definitely the hardest part of this project..... broken CD springs around quite alot.
~My first few efforts didn't work out so well, who knew that you couldn't use Stazon with Alcohol Inks??? It doesn't work!!!!
~So I decided to use coloured stazon inks to colour the backgrounds, and then I just stamped my image on.
~Lastly you just add a brooch pin, or you can pierce a hole and make your cd piece a necklace... if you did them small enough you could even do earrings!!!! CD jewellery is so much fun to make AND you will ALWAYS know your piece is 1 of a kind.

~Before I hand over to the next person on the hop, I'm offering 2 of my readers a CD brooch of their choice. All you have to do is be a follower and leave a comment on this post. I'll draw my winners on Monday!!!!

~Now you should hop over to the fabulous Keely's blog, she creates the most fabulous layouts and I know she has a FANTASTIC recycled project for you today.

~I'll be back tomorrow, enjoy the rest of the HOP!!
~love, Vicki xxx

I love your idea! I've never thought of that before. My stepdad makes wind chimes and uses CDs for the dinger. LOL I'm now a follower of your blog!

Very unique idea. I wonder if these could also be used for bling on cards, layouts, etc. I can't wait to give it a try.
