From now on I'm going to connect the dots MY way.......

~Happy Monday all,
~I had a FANTASTIC weekend away, we did so much and it was quite intense. It was a retreat to work on your life plan (well for the next year anyway), how to be assertive and how to be more confident. They also taught us how to talk more about our feelings, and we got to go on walks, eat yummy food and just have a good time. I took almost 200 photos but I've whittled it down to 12 to show you all!!!!!

~I would like to say I had taken this photo on the way in but we came in the back way, I actually took this during our early morning (6.30am) walk:
~We stayed in a the local outdoor centre, which was the old primary school:
~This was my room, Dorm 3.... I got some fantastic photos of our room, that I'm going to scrap using October Afternoon's Thrift Shop papers... I've already got scrappy plans in mind:
~And my 2 lovely dorm mates.... this is Natalie and Anne-Marie, they are both fantastic girls, and we had a few amazing chats, including our one that lasted till after 2am on the first night!!!!
~I took a photo of the ONLY petrol pump in the village, and the irony - it doesn't actually pump anymore!!!!:
~This HAS to be my favourite photo from the whole trip, I love the reflection. This is Loch Rannoch at about 7am on Saturday morning:
~This is along the road a little bit:
~Later on Saturday morning we had to walk around Kinloch Rannoch, and write notes about how we were feeling..... this is me sitting infront of the waterfall by the outdoor centre:
~Marilyn and I climbed quite far up at the side of the waterfall, and this photo is taken from the top:
~When we got back we had to do a piece of writing based on our notes - mine is called The Robin of Kinloch Rannoch and was actually the favourite as it was a piece of creative writing. Others who have been on previous retreats have been asked to record their story and now I've been asked too - its so exciting, it will be going on sale too!!!!
~We also had to work in teams and create a piece of art, this is what my group did:
~Nice huh??? LOL i hated doing the painting but I did enjoy chatting and laughing during it!!! I got to bring our painting home too.

~On Saturday night we went to the local pub, where they had advertised live music, THIS is their version of live music:
~On Sunday we did our life maps, it was good to see how my next year will plan out!!! So excited for the next year. While away I got asked to be on the committee for a special project happening in my town soon - which I said yes too, I'm so excited to get to be a part of this!!! They want me to help with the children and young people side of things - especially doing creative stuff!!!!!!

~We left yesterday around 2pm, and I finally got a chance to get the snowy mountain photo I'd been trying to get all weekend:
~Lastly (on this subject anyway), you might wonder about the title. FROM NOW ON I'M GOING TO CONNECT THE DOTS MY WAY, is my favourite quote from the weekend - I absolutely love it and I'm going to follow it from now on. Everyone's life is their own and they have a right to live it how they want - and that is my intention!!!!

~Ok so this week on Scrap Tiffany we had to redo an old layout.... this is my old layout:
~OMG right??? This was one of the worst layouts from my first album, I found that I had another copy of this photo - which is me standing on top of the very first mountain I ever climbed!!!! Anyway here is my redo:
~I used Basic Grey: Green at Heart, which i absolutely loved!!!! When I first saw the range I didn't like it that much but now I've worked with it, i have to say it's been fun!!!! Go over and check out what everyone else is doing on Scrap Tiffany.
~Remember to come visit tomorrow for my very first blog interview with the fantastic Tiffany herself!!!! And remember to scroll down to Wednesday's post and enter my giveaway -
it closes on Sunday!!!!!
~love, Vicki xxx
