~Ok so now I want to pass this on to some brand new blog friends, and they are....... Pinky, Arlene, Nancy, Kai and Roberta. Enjoy Ladies!!!
~So since I blogged last week I have done 3 layouts, that I am actually really pleased with - they are actually my favourites of the ones I've done recently, they all use multi photos, which I loved working with........
~I used Basic Grey Lime Rickey for this layout, and I wanted to use some paint. I also stamped which is something I often forget about. And I used just 1 chipboard cog, and created 3 embellishments using it, so here it is...........
~This is my 1st one using Basic Grey June Bug and I LOVE that range, it was really fun and easy to work with. I used Tim Holtz alpha masks to create the first part of the title along with glimmer mist, and I used some alpha stamps to create the word Baby, which I then cut out, along with the 09 in the top corner of the page. I also created a frame for the bottom photos, and stitched around each photo.........
~I used Sassafras for this layout, which is a brand I quite often forget about. I had seen various other people use the rainbow paper in this way - but I hadn't seen it used on black..... which I thought might help my photos stand out more on the bright colours. I used a 2nd sheet of the sassafras and cut out some of the element shapes - which I used to put my title on. I then mounted my 3 favourite photo on some white card, and raised them up on foam pads, so here is Boy...........
~I have lots of scrapping ideas going on, so there will definitely be some more layouts coming soon.
~Lastly, the sad news, I don't want to talk about this too long because it really upsets me but on Monday of this week, my mum and I made the decision to have this boy put to sleep.......
~Tom was 15, and had been unwell for some time, but recently he'd gotten worse and lost alot of weight. It was a sad day, really hard for us both and I've been crying alot since. I will be blogging about him at some point in the next while, but I'll wait till it feels easier. I will say the vets were really good with both him and us, they agreed we were doing the right thing for him and really supported us afterwards - which to be honest probably helped get us through it.
~Anyway I'm going now, the cats need feeding and will probably come and start harrasing me soon!!! Remember my blog candy, you've got to be in it to win it!!!
~love ya, Vicki xxx
