Spaces and Places//Pinterest Sunday

It has been way too long since I had a pinterest sunday, way too long. One of my boards I haven't shared yet is spaces and places - a board for cute houses, lovely ideas and beautiful places.

These steps are made from repurposed crates, i love them:

This is a beautiful building in Barcelona, Spain:

Cute little outdoor guest room idea:

This is a lovely repurposed barn, it's so beautiful:

Go by and check out my other boards on Pinterest, and let me know what you would like to see on a Sunday!!!!

Knitting Needles//Pinterest Sunday

I cannot believe it's nearing the end of the month again - just one more Pinterest Sunday then it's March!!! Next week I will start back on the colours but as I've spent this last month knitting, I figured needles would be a good place to start!!!! So here are some pretties!!!!

I would love to know what decade these plastic needles came from, as I picked up about 10 pairs in a charity shop. I love this pic:
 (source)
The tops of these needles are too cute, and I'm not even the biggest polka fan:
 (source)
If I owned these, I probably wouldn't use them - they are just gorgeous:
 (source)
If I didn't have cats, and I owned this many pairs of needles this would be how I want to display them, this is gorgeous:
 (source)
I love the tops of these too, so pretty:

Making an antique jug a little more exciting:

I love knitting needles, and at the moment I have around 34 pairs of straight needles - the majority are not new ones, and I've become a little addicted to searching charity shops!!!!!
Anyways I'll be back later in the week,

Mint Green//Pinterest Sunday

I can't believe it's Sunday already, and we're into the 3rd week of January.... it's gone so fast already and we've started making some big plans for the year ahead. Anyway more of that later, obviously sunday brings Pinterest and this week is Mint Green. Why? I think mint green is a beautiful colour, it's understated and it doesn't come up as often as other colours in design.

This hair is so beautiful, I would love to have mint green hair, even just for a little while:

I love this cute little caravan, just for photoshoots like this:
Mint green walls with black and white counters - um yes please:
This is my favourite mint green photo ever, it's so beautiful (and lets pause for a minute to take in those stairs):
You can't talk mint green without thinking about shoes, pretty right?:
And of course I might need this camera:
So mint green, what do you think? Are you a convert? Have you fallen in love? I'm off to do some more knitting, I'll be back on Wednesday for some WIP's and on Friday with some finished objects. I also have a few creative projects to jump by and share in the week too.

Yellow//Pinterest Sunday

Ah Pinterest Sunday is BACK; this is one of my favourite features and I'm doing to do a little bit of a colour feature this year starting with YELLOW. Why? simply because it's a cheer you up colour, and well spring is just around the corner(ish, kinda...). Anyhoo, here is YELLOW:

This yellow wedding aisle is so pretty:
I love this room, it's so gorgeous:
This photo is just very inspiring:
I need these shoes from Anthro:

And ok, not alot of yellow but this is fantastic:
So yellow, yes or no? I've always loved yellow and there are tons of other pics based on YELLOW on pinterest, go check it out.

Christmas Wrappies (and updating)//Pinterest Sunday

I have been a terrible December Daily blogger; I have fallen a bit behind; mostly due to illness but things are improving and I am planning to get 2 pages done every day until I've caught up - most of my pages are planned so it's just a matter of putting them together.
Anyhoo I know it's a day late again this week but I thought a pinterest sunday would get everyone in the festive mood; especially as this week's theme is CHRISTMAS WRAPPIES!!! One of my favourite part about gifts is the wrapping, next year we are hoping to do our wrapping in a more handmade way and hopefully this will encourage you all to do the same:

I love these, from the white stamping to the cute little tags, and doilies? fantastic idea. Plus you could mix it up with some different colours for the kids or keep it quite toned down and beautiful for the grown-ups!!!
I love the fact that you could use this for christmas, or by taking the jingle bells off, for birthday's too - this is a good all-rounder and looks really stunning.
I love the simplicity of this paper from the Wordless Design Etsy shop; it's super cute and would be great for the wordy people in your life.
Burlap wrapping is huge, and looks amazing. I love the double ribbon and the tag is just beautiful on this gift; and if you don't want to overdo the burlap, you could choose to accent your gifts instead!!
I think this would be a really cute way to wrap the smaller gifts for both the young and young-at-heart; really cute and very lovely.
That's me for now; I shall hopefully be back later in the week with both a guest artist AND some december daily.

Christmas Foodies//Pinterest Sunday

Wow Tuesday already, are you a little confused by the addition of Pinterest Sunday? Ok so I worked with Jay all weekend and then got sick - infact our whole household did..... so I haven't had a chance to blog or to catch up on December Daily, but I promised a pinterest sunday and so here you go:

Peppermint bark is relatively similar to peanut brittle; you just switch your toffee for chocolate (any kind or colour) and your peanuts for candy canes - this looks awesome and I can imagine would taste pretty sweet too!!!
These snowflakes by Martha Stewart look amazing, and I can just imagine them in a yummy cup of cadbury hot chocolate (definitely my favourite!!!
These cupcakes look fantastic, unfortunately there is no specific recipe on the website, so if anybody knows how to make these, let me know!!!
These look so yummy, they use a white chocolate bark also.... I might need to give them a try.
These would make fantastic gifts for the foodies; and I love the wrap on them! The cute pastry snow flakes and christmas trees make a great touch; I have a reindeer cutter that would work too!
I don't like ham, but these are awesome and I'm sure you could make them with other things..... perfect for your festive buffet right?

So what do you think? Are your cooking juices flowing yet? I definitely need to try that bark sometime soon - fab huh? And the santa hat pretzels would be great for the kids, maybe something for christmas eve!! I am hoping to resume normal service really soon, I have done some cutwork for my DD album but I need to rest up as I have a 50th birthday cake to make this week.
Have a great Tuesday,
V xo

Gift Ideas//Pinterest Sunday

Today on pinterest sunday I'm going to share some cute gifts that I have fallen in love with; these ones are all on my gift ideas board. I love the idea of making gifts for people; and infact I shared a post on Friday about the pies in a jar I'm planning to make. I have chosen 6 gift ideas to share:
A starbucks cold coffee cup with a starbucks giftcard inside? Um yes please. I love the whole concept of this, it's very cute and would make an awesome gift for the coffee lover in your life.
This jar with cocoa and marshmallow would make the perfect gift for children or chocolate lovers; it's very cute and easy to do.
Spiced pecans are awesome; I can't think of anybody to give these too but I want to make them for myself - that's allowed right?
If you are making or buying candles for someone, this match jar with a match strip on the bottom will make an awesome gift and it's very cheap to make too.
This cute ice-cream accompliments box is fabulous, you can make your own hot fudge sauce and team it with some spoons, cute bowls and an ice-cream scoop. You could even add some sprinkles, flakes and other ice-cream decorations; the possibilities are endless.
And of course I had to share the gifts in a jar; I have already tired the little pies but I would also love to try making cupcakes in jars - it sounds really fun and looks very cute too.
I'm off for now, I hope you have enjoyed pinterest sunday this week.

Photography: Part 1 - Cameras//Pinterest Sunday

Welcome to another pinterest sunday, this one is a 2 part on Photography. This week will feature some of my favourite camera's and in a few weeks time I will feature some of my favourite photographic images - there are some beautiful ones. Anyway back to this week; I have an obsession with vintage cameras and I got a lomography fisheye last year which is just awesome. Here are some cameras that I would love to own someday:
I love this vintage camera shelf; it is so gorgeous - and the little details like the empty frames and a lens just add that little something extra.
These lomo "diana" cameras are awesome just in their normal sense - but the these ones look amazing, I love the bunny ears - so cute!!!
I love this cute vintage camera, the colours are fantastic.
Everytime I see this camera I fall in love even more; and it's incredible inspiring thinking about the people that this camera has photographed - awesome.
These cameras are all individually fantastic; I really love the giant box shaped ones and the few that have seperate flashes.

Remember if you want to follow me on Pinterest, my link is on the right sidebar....... I'll be back with a final autumn post in the next few days.

Book It//Pinterest Sunday

I cannot believe that the October holidays are finished already; the kids go back to school and I need to get stuck into my next OU course - The Arts: Past and Present. I have a brand new URL for my blog - so if you follow me or you're here for the first time, be sure to just quickly follow or bookmark my blog. Obviously with a new URL comes a new look; I dropped a little bit of the name and went for something a little punchier and decided on a fresh clean look - black and white with small splashes of colour. What do you think? I've also moved my grab-it badge a little higher (on the left), so if you do put it on your blog, let me know and I'll add you to my blog list tab (above).

Anyways it's also Sunday; so I chose one of my favourite (although I'm sure I say that every week) boards - book it!!! I love books - I always have done; from the age of about 7, in the summer I would go to the library EVERYDAY and take out different books....... my passion has grown over time and now I love vintage books, and I have to admit that books smell amazing. My dream? I really want to have a wall to wall library some day - very comforting with big chairs or beanbags; a girl can dream right? Ok so here are some books for you to enjoy:
I love that these books are falling apart, they were obviously very loved - for me, that is the sign of a good book.

I love this arty reading room; it looks comfy with a little bit of quirkiness on the edge.

I know this is a library, but isn't it the most beautiful one you ever seen???

I fell in love with this picture the minute I saw it, I want to own books like
these, just for display.

I love colour coded books; these look so pretty.

This library is really pretty, the original pinner has said it's "beauty and the beast style" - I
could really for that.

I have loads of pins on my book it board; I am so totally addicted. I know alot of people use electronic readers now, I realise that it's easier and less space consuming BUT there is something about buying books; wandering around book stores and curling up with your favourite book

Right I'm off for now, I have dinner in the oven. I'll be back this week with a few posts.

Pumpkin Foodies//Pinterest Sunday

This week we bought our first pumpkin of the season; it is honestly no secret that I LOVE pumpkin - last year we bought 2 big ones; which I used to make a baked pumpkin cheesecake and a ton of pumpkin jam. The jam went down so well in our family that this year I plan to make even more...... AND I've been doing a little pinning of other yummy pumpkin recipes that I want to make!!! I think we'll definitely be buying more than just 2 big ones this year.... I'm thinking a whole family could be out on our doorstep on Halloween, glowing away. Here are some yummy pumpkin foodies to keep you baking through the rest of autumn:

 *source*
Pistachio Pumpkin bread: I love the whole idea of this - doesn't it look just yummy?

 *source*
Pumpkin Spice pull-apart bread: doesn't this look totally gorgeous? I need to make this, pull-apart bread is so much fun and I bet this one is delicious.

 *source*
Pumpkin Pie Cupcakes: I tried out a Key Lime Pie version of these and they were delicious - I think I'm going to have to do these. I make cupcakes for our crop every month so maybe these could be the flavour of October?

 *source*
Pumpkin Pie Brownies: do I need to say anything about these? No? Didn't think so.......

Pumpkin Pecan Pie: I have never actually tasted pumpkin pie but this looks so amazing that I might have to give it a try, and of course pecans are awesome.

So that's Pinterest Sunday for another week; I know PS has taken a bit of a backseat lately - things have been kinda hectic and I'm hoping to keep my blog schedule a little more full in the coming months.

If you want to follow me on Pinterest ( or Twitter, FB or Ravelry); just click on the relevant badge on my sidebar!
